General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of Steinemann-Taxi GmbH

  1. Scope

    2. These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all passenger transportation services provided by Steinemann-Taxi GmbH, as well as any goods transportation services. Deviating terms and conditions of the customer shall only be recognized if confirmed by us in writing. By ordering a ride or entering the vehicle, the customer agrees to these GTC.

  2. Liability Disclaimer

    3. The customer is responsible for ordering rides in a timely manner. Traffic-related delays, including those caused by accidents, are the customer’s responsibility. Steinemann-Taxi GmbH is only liable in cases of intent or gross negligence. Liability is limited to statutory requirements.

  3. Prices and Payment Terms

    4. 3.1 Prices include statutory value-added tax (VAT). The tariffs valid at the time of booking confirmation shall apply.
    3.2 Flat rates not listed in the price list may be agreed upon orally or in writing and apply exclusively to the agreed travel date and rental duration. Exceeding these will be charged according to the valid price list.
    3.3 Delays not caused by Steinemann-Taxi GmbH shall be at the customer’s expense.
    3.4 The fare includes the transportation of persons with normal luggage. Bulky goods require a separate agreement.

  4. Payment Methods

    5. 4.1 Outstanding amounts are to be settled immediately after the ride in cash or by credit card with the driver. Invoicing is possible upon prior agreement.
    4.2 Payment is considered timely once the amount has been irrevocably credited to our account. For credit card payments, the amount is only considered settled upon full receipt.
    4.3 In case of late payment, default interest of 5% p.a. and reminder fees of CHF 20.00 per reminder shall apply. The customer reserves the right to prove that a lesser or no damage occurred.

  5. Cancellations and Withdrawal

    6. 5.1 Cancellations must be submitted to us in writing or by phone. The receipt of the cancellation is decisive.
    5.2 Cancellation fees:

  • Up to 24 hours before the ride: free of charge
  • Up to 12 hours before: 30% of the base price
  • Up to 3 hours before: 80% of the base price
  • Afterward or in case of no-show: 100% of the base price
    5.3 Already incurred costs will be charged regardless of the cancellation time. The customer may prove that no or lesser damage occurred.
    5.4 Steinemann-Taxi GmbH reserves the right to withdraw from the contract in case of payment default, bankruptcy, misuse, or breach of contract by the customer.
  1. Compensation

    2. Compensation claims arise, in particular, for long trips and only if the customer is demonstrably responsible for the costs incurred.

  2. Promotional Vouchers

    3. Promotional vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash. Only one voucher can be used per ride. Legal action is excluded.

  3. Severability Clause

    4. If any provision of these GTC is invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid one that comes as close as possible to its economic purpose.

  4. Jurisdiction and Applicable Law

Swiss law shall apply. The place of jurisdiction is Schaffhausen.
